A manual payroll system necessitates payroll processing by hand, which is much slower than an automated procedure. The processes by which new hires are integrated into the organization are referred to as automated “onboarding.” It includes activities that allow new employees to complete an initial new-hire orientation process while also learning about the organization’s structure, culture, vision, mission, and values.

Onboarding is made up of several individual processes; however, there is no official definition, and opinions differ on which processes fall under the umbrella of onboarding. Onboarding can consist of the following steps:

  • Job openings
  • Salary bargaining
  • New employee paperwork
  • Policy and culture education
  • Workplace education
  • Employee Handbook Instruction
  • Benefits documentation
  • Advantages of education
  • Tours of the facilities
  • Introductions of executives
  • Introductions to the team
