Global Survey: Singapore Workers Least Satisfied with Hybrid Work Arrangements

Global survey on hybrid work arrangement. A recent global survey shows that employees in Singapore are the least satisfied with hybrid work compared to their global peers.

While 78% of them are content with their current arrangement, this is significantly lower than the global average of 87%. In fact, Singapore has the lowest percentage of employees satisfied with hybrid work.

Additionally, fewer employees are happy with hybrid work than their employers, who have a satisfaction rate of 94%.

32 Arrested for Illegal Employment Violations in Singapore

The authorities arrested 32 people for illegal employment-related offenses. Some were arrested for alleged involvement in making false declarations in work pass applications when the companies did not require their employment.

The suspects were arrested during islandwide operations, and the investigations are ongoing.

MOM stated that employers can only hire foreign workers with valid work passes. Both employers and applicants must make accurate declarations.

Foreigners who work without a valid work pass may be fined up to $20,000, jailed for up to two years, or both. If convicted, they may also be barred from working in Singapore.
